Outbreak Investigations & Management Course

This course is a joint collaboration between the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) and the Institute of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology (IIDE), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), Singapore.
It aims to promote understanding in disease outbreak investigations and management in the context of a hospital environment.
Recognising the rapid succession of outbreaks in the region in the last decade, the emerging and rapidly spreading multi-drug resistant organisms, this course will build skills in outbreak investigation and in-depth knowledge of current investigatory methods and tools for outbreak detection, outbreak investigation, and outbreak response.
Participants will attend lectures and infection control training, engage in group discussions and take part in an outbreak simulation exercise.

This course is suitable for public health professionals, public health nurses, health educators, infection control nurses, epidemiologists, health-related policy-makers, and public health officers interested in disease outbreak investigations as well as management in the context of a hospital environment.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Visa Requirements
Visitors from countries listed on the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website are required to apply for a visa to enter Singapore. Participants are responsible for obtaining the required valid travel documents. An official invitation letter can be provided upon receiving the registration and payment.

The course fee includes lecture materials, daily tea breaks and lunch and end-of-course dinner. It does not cover travel, accommodation and other expenses.
