Candid Conversations: Talking with Female Patients about Sexual Health

Course Content

Identify three evidence-supported reasons for proactively and routinely talking with your female patients about their sexual health, summarize the four elements of the Ex-PLISSIT model for application to clinical practice, demonstrate increased confidence in discussing the sexual health needs of your female patients, practice key principles from the ASK-TELL-ASK and Ex-PLISSIT communication models to help improve your clinician-patient communication skills.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for specialists and general practice clinicians, including primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare providers caring for and treating female patients.
