Introduction
We are seeking a Deputy Chief Physician (m/f/d) in Pulmonology to join a modern secondary care hospital in Lower Saxony. The facility has around 600 beds and treats approximately 25,000 inpatients and 80,000 outpatients per year. As an academic teaching hospital within a large private network, the Pulmonology Department offers the full spectrum of modern respiratory medicine, including sleep and ventilatory care.

Your Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Chief Physician during absences

• Medical, organisational and strategic development of the Pulmonology service

• Ensure high-quality patient care within the specialty

• Perform complex pulmonary diagnostics and therapies

• Collaborate closely with other clinical departments

• Provide clinical supervision and lead the training of junior doctors

Your Profile

• Board-certified Internist (m/f/d) with focus in Pulmonology

• Additional qualification in Sleep Medicine or willingness to obtain it

• Several years’ experience as an (Senior) Attending/Consultant in Pulmonology

• Strong leadership, clinical and interpersonal skills; team-oriented mindset

• Proven ability to motivate and develop staff

• Responsible, economically minded approach and commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
