(m/f/d) General and Visceral Surgery | Hesse
Our partner is a tertiary care hospital within a large regional healthcare network with supra-regional importance. Each year, tens of thousands of inpatients and a significantly higher number of outpatients are treated. The Department of General and Visceral Surgery covers the full spectrum of modern surgical care, including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. Key areas include oncological surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, as well as colorectal surgery. The department is part of an interdisciplinary center and integrated into certified care structures. The position is offered as part of a planned succession.

Your Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the department (medical, organizational, and economic)
- Performance and supervision of the full surgical spectrum
- Strategic development and expansion of clinical services
- Optimization of clinical processes and care pathways
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with internal and external partners
- Representation of the department within professional networks
- Ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Leadership and development of the medical team
Your Profile & Requirements:
- Board-certified specialist in General and Visceral Surgery
- Additional qualification in Advanced Visceral Surgery
- Extensive experience in complex surgical procedures
- Expertise in oncological, minimally invasive, and robotic surgery
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong management and organizational skills
- Strategic mindset and economic awareness
- Academic background desirable (e.g., habilitation)
