Conference themes
In keeping with IARC’s mission over the past five decades, this anniversary conference will feature presentations on research into the global occurrence, etiology, and prevention of cancer as well as the implementation of prevention and early detection. The multidisciplinary conference will bridge cancer research through to cancer control and policy, providing comprehensive state-of-the-art summaries from keynote speakers as well as a look forward at future research priorities.
Learning objectives, training objectives
Within the framework of the conference, IARC will launch the “50 for 50” Fellowships Programme, the goal of which will be to identify 50 future leaders in cancer research, one for each year of IARC’s existence, from low and middle-income countries.
Notes
Those selected will benefit from Fellowships enabling them to attend the conference and will also participate in a specialised pre-conference training course on 6-7 June 2016 at IARC.
