Course Content

Importance of the law for management tasks (compliance). Basic legal terms and methodology. References for legal sources. Selected topics of health law (right of self-determination of the sick, dying and healthy, liability for errors in information and treatment, coercive measures, access to health services and rationing, health police regulation of the health professions, the use of therapeutic products, medical research, prevention, health promotion.

Learning objectives, training objectives

- Introduction to the law and legal thinking based on case studies - Knowledge of important basic terms and contents of health law in Switzerland - Understanding of the importance of legal argumentation for management functions Understanding the importance of legal reasoning for management functions.

Target Audience

Persons with a university degree or other qualified training and management experience.

Qualifications

University degree or other qualified education and several years of experience in the healthcare sector.

Notes

Proof of performance in six modules is required for the CAS certificate.
