Cruks counts over 20,000 registrations

Remote Gaming Act

Since the entry into force of the Remote Gaming Act on October 1, 2021, the Dutch gaming market has been regulated. Hereby also the Central Register Exclusion Games of Chance (Cruks) has been launched. Cruks counts over 20,000 registrations since the start of the register.

Cruks register

The Cruks offers players the possibility to protect themselves. This can be done by excluding yourself from gambling; both online and offline. Over 20,000 registrations on https://teenpatti.in.net/hi/how-to-play/ have been received in recent months. The play break is a minimum of 6 months. Players who had themselves registered can therefore not gamble online or visit a casino to place a bet.

With the Cruks registry, the Dutch government is taking players into protection. The aim is to create a safe environment for players of gambling.

Before the introduction of the Act on Remote Gaming (Wet Kansspelen op afstand (Koa)), the protection of players could not be guaranteed. Providers operated on the Dutch market without a license. Nowadays, providers must obtain a license from the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) to be able to attract players at all. This includes a duty of care to protect gamblers, which providers must satisfy.

Technical defect in Cruks register

Recently the TV program Radar reported that a player could gamble thousands of euros with certified providers, despite a Cruks registration. This turned out to be a technical defect that has since been fixed.

If someone registered in Cruks wants to gamble, whether in an online or land-based casino, the Dutch provider must check whether the player is in the register. If the person is registered, the casino must deny access.

In the first weeks already about 1,600 players registered in the Cruks register. In the first month, a total of 3,500 registrations were recorded. Some 5,000 registrations were added between June and July 2022. Cruks counts more than 20,000 registrations less than a year after the registry's launch...

About the Cruks play break

A Cruks registration lasts a minimum of 6 months. However, you can go up to an exclusion of up to 99 years. As a player, you can specify yourself whether you want to be excluded for a certain period of time, but it is also possible that a registration takes place on an involuntary basis.

In the latter case, you have to think of players who are not able to recognize gambling addiction themselves. Often in this case, a stakeholder contacts the KSA. This can be a partner, family member or the gaming operator itself. Casinos are required to report problem players to Cruks. When the KSA receives such a report, an extensive process follows whether or not to admit the player in question to Cruks.

Cruks thus protects problem players. Since its launch, the register has been consulted more than 148 million times. If you want to register, you can do so at cruksregister.nl. Here you'll find more information about how it works and what exactly to expect.

Best Cruks

Please note that a casino without a license in the Netherlands will not consult the Cruks register. This is because it is a Dutch system, so only Dutch providers make use of it. CasinoJager therefore advises to always play responsibly. Keep a close eye on your playing behavior and seek professional help if limits become blurred.
