Milestones
The EHFG gathered more than 60 experts from the fields of health and beyond to develop three alternative scenarios for health in Europe in 2037. The scenarios are designed to inform today’s policy choices in light of what tomorrow might bring. We are excited for the official launch of our project’s outcomes, and hope you will join us in testing the future at the EHFG 2017!
Just as much as looking ahead, we want to look back with you – the 2017 European Health Forum Gastein marks the 20th anniversary of our existence. This year, we want to give you a chance to find out more about the history of the Forum, and see how it followed and set trends in health policy discourse over the last two decades. Join us at the conference center in Bad Hofgastein and see the intricate interactions of EU and EHFG topics, and get a chance to grasp the role of the EHFG within the European health policy field of the past 20 years.
European Health Award 2017
More than forty cutting-edge projects were in the running for the prestigious €10,000 European Health Award 2017, sponsored by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Health and FOPI (Forum der forschenden pharmazeutischen Industrie in Österreich), which brings together Austria’s research-based pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Now, six cross-border health projects have been short-listed for the European Health Award 2017. They cover topics such as migrant health, health security and disease prevention, mastocytosis, coeliac disease, e-learning and health education.
The prize-winner will be chosen by a panel of leading health experts, and the award will be presented at this year’s European Health Forum Gastein.
