24th April 2022, Vienna, Austria.
With the “Running for Peace” wristband for humanitarian aid in Ukraine. VCM doubles the donations.
The Vienna City Marathon is a run for peace. That has been the case ever since it existed, and it will be especially true at the upcoming event on 24 April. Many thousands of people of different origins, nations, skin colour, religions and attitudes run together and support each other. Violence and riots do not happen and have no place in the event.
This unifying spirit that exists in all running events is more important now than ever. We are therefore creating the “Running for Peace” wristband and supporting „Nachbar in Not (Neighbour in Need). This initiative of the major Austrian aid organisations and the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) provides humanitarian aid in Ukraine. In this way, we want to provide concrete help to the people of Ukraine during this war.
Run for Peace!
• Run with the “Running for Peace” wristband for 5,- Euro.
