Mind the gap: Reducing inequalities in health and health care
The European Public Health Conference Foundation, the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) and the UK Society for Social Medicine are pleased to invite you to the 7th European Public Health Conference.
The EPH Conference aims to contribute to the improvement of public health in Europe by offering a means for exchanging information and a platform for debate to researchers, policy makers, and practitioners in the field of public health and health services research as well as public health training and education in Europe.

There will be various pre-conferences taking place at the European Public Health Conference in Glasgow on Wednesday 19 November 2014 and Thursday 20 November 2014 (morning only).
The following EUPHA sections are organising pre conferences:

– Social Security and Health
– Injury Prevention with ProFouND and EuroSafe – Maximising uptake of effective falls prevention interventions across Europe
– Public Mental Health
– Child and Adolescent Public Health

– ASPHER – Young Researchers Forum.
The European Public Health Conferences include a social programme. For Glasgow 2014, we will organise:
– A Welcome Drinks Reception hosted by the City of Glasgow takes place in Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum on Thursday 20 November.
A Conference Dinner on Friday 21 November 2014. The Conference Dinner will be held at the Glasgow Science Centre. This venue is within walking distance from the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre on the other side of the River Clyde.
Registration opens 1 July 2014
Please use the online registration form to register for the conference. Registering for the conference is exclusively available online. On-site registration is possible during the conference from 19-22 November 2014.

Registration fee includes conference programme book, online access to Abstract Supplement of European Journal of Public Health, refreshment breaks, lunches and welcome reception. The conference dinner and some pre-conferences are charged at an additional fee.
Student registration
Students can register at a reduced rate. Persons full time enrolled in a college or university can register as a student. Proof of status from the Registrar’s office verifying full-time status is required to process your application. Part-time students, postdoctoral candidates and others that cannot meet these requirements are NOT eligible for the discounted student rates.
Please register as a student and send proof of student status to the EPH conference office.
Journalists/press registration
If you are a journalist and you wish to attend the conference, please contact us about the possibilities.
Pre conference registration
If you wish to attend a pre-conference, but not the main conference, please use the online registration and click: ‘pre conference only’ to register. Please note that it is not possible to attend a free pre conference only.
Cancellation charges
Registration is only confirmed after receipt of the enrolment fee. Cancellations should be notified in writing to the EPH conference office.
