Heart Failure 2022 is the annual congress of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC. On behalf of the HFA Board, we are delighted to announce that our flagship congress, Heart Failure 2022, will welcome you back from 21 to 24 May – onsite in Madrid, Spain – and online, around the world!
The past 18 months have been a challenging journey for everyone, with uncertainty and disruption affecting us all. We were forced to cancel our 2020 congress, but in its absence created HFA Discoveries to keep us connected to the latest in heart failure. In 2021 we hosted a very successful three-day online HFA congress from Florence that saw a record number of delegates. The success of online congresses has taken many by surprise, and while many praise the accessibility of the online learning made possible, others miss the personal connections, immersive conversations, and networking that in-person events allow.
That brings us to Heart Failure 2022. For those of you who wish to join us in Madrid, the onsite event will provide an exciting return to networking, meeting face to face and enjoying the thrill of discovering, learning, and sharing together in-person, whilst respecting the highest sanitary measures for your comfort and safety.
For colleagues who cannot attend on site or prefer to connect online, an interactive experience awaits you, with exclusive opportunities to ask your questions to the experts, connect with colleagues and visit the abstract discussion rooms where presenters will share innovative research.
At Heart Failure 2022, you will get in-depth scientific presentations by leading global experts, covering the entire spectrum of heart failure. Be prepared for exciting symposia, Guidelines in Practice sessions, how to- and case-based sessions, as well as debates. There will be a special emphasis on sessions by and for our younger delegates – the HoT sessions – and we have an excellent local track organised in conjunction with the Spanish Heart Failure Association.
We thank you for your unwavering trust and commitment through the difficult times. We are now ready for a new start, and look forward to welcoming you in Madrid, or online, for an HFA congress like you’ve never seen before.
