30th September to 2nd October 2015, Bad Hofgastein, Austria.
How can we work together on securing the health of all European citizens? Which priorities should we set – especially against a background of limited resources – and which international and intersectoral synergies can we form? These and other questions are going to be discussed at the 18th European Health Forum Gastein, this year taking place from 30th September to 2nd October in beautiful Gastein valley. Coming from all over Europe participants will meet to use the Forum as an opportunity for exchanging experiences and establishing valuable contacts. Their lynchpin for this year:
„Securing health in Europe. Balancing priorities, sharing responsibilities“
The topic of health security will be looked at from a variety of different angles, covering everything from how to secure the health of the individual to securing the functionality and sustainability of whole health systems. Subsections of these overarching concerns will be, amongst others, the efficient approach to multimorbidity from a systemic perspective, the international comparison of primary care concepts, and the question of how modern technology can help foster patient-centred care. For more detailed programme information please have a look at our first Programme Announcement.
While Gastein-knowers are already acquainted with the well-balanced mixture of participants and topics – among our guests are high-level decision makers from government and administration, business and industry, science and academia, and civil society – there are a couple of news to share with you for this year.
For the first time in EHFG history, we are going to have a plenary session on each of the three conference days. The Thursday Plenary on „Health in All Policies“ will bring together conference participants also on the second day of the Forum, to witness a high-level discussion on this by now well-reknown EU-policy principle in pursuit of an intersectoral approach to health.
Furthermore, on a more technical note we are happy to announce that for this year, we are partnering with Lufthansa Group Airlines as our official conference carrier, helping to optimize your travel to Bad Hofgastein.
