10th to 12th April 2014, Granada, Spain
Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health and Healthcare in the context of the current systemic crisis in Europe.
The economic crisis that affects Europe, particularly the southern countries, has brought, across the regions, important changes in social and health policy which are creating new sources of vulnerability for disadvantaged populations, specially for migrants and ethnic minorities.
The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum to share and discuss different approaches and practical experiences around migrants’ and ethnic minorities’ health and healthcare in a context of economic austerity. Policy and decision makers, researchers from various disciplines, health practitioners, and NGO representatives will have the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience on the named field.
Advancing knowledge on the impact of the economic crisis in these issues, discussing strategies in the field of healthcare and social welfare policies, as well as disseminating examples of good practices in local and regional contexts will be key outcomes of the conference.
On behalf of the European Public Health Association [EUPHA] Section on Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health, the Consortium for Healthcare and Social Services of Catalonia [CSC] and the Andalusian School of Public Health [EASP] we have the honor of inviting you to the 5th European Conference on Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health.
