Our client is a modern healthcare campus in Western Germany offering inpatient, outpatient and rehabilitation services. The geriatric rehabilitation unit comprises approximately 70 beds and forms part of an integrated healthcare concept that closely combines acute care, rehabilitation and ambulatory medicine.

We are seeking an experienced physician with leadership ambitions to further develop the geriatric rehabilitation service, ensure high clinical standards and contribute to innovative care concepts for older adults within an interdisciplinary environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Medical leadership of the geriatric rehabilitation department
  • Ensuring high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation care
  • Further development of medical treatment concepts and rehabilitation programmes
  • Leadership and professional development of the multidisciplinary team
  • Planning and implementation of strategic medical projects
  • Optimisation of organisational processes and clinical structures
  • Shared responsibility for operational and economic performance indicators
  • Close collaboration with internal and external healthcare partners
  • Representation of the department and organisation both internally and externally

 

Your profile & qualifications:

  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine or a related specialty
  • Additional qualification or subspecialisation in Geriatric Medicine desirable
  • Alternatively, willingness to acquire a recognised qualification in Geriatric Medicine
  • Experience in the treatment of elderly and multimorbid patients
  • Leadership experience or strong interest in assuming a senior leadership role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strategic mindset combined with sound economic awareness
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and the further development of modern rehabilitation concepts


For international applicants

  • Medical qualifications must be recognised in Germany or fulfil the requirements for obtaining German medical licensure (Approbation)
  • Specialist qualifications should be recognised within the European Union or be eligible for equivalency assessment in Germany
  • German language proficiency at C1 level is required for independent clinical practice and patient communication
