Your responsibilities:
- Medical and organisational leadership of the Department of Internal Medicine and Geriatrics
- Strategic development of clinical services and treatment pathways
- Ensuring high-quality and economically sustainable patient care
- Diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine and geriatric conditions
- Promotion of interdisciplinary collaboration and team-oriented care
- Supervision, mentoring and professional development of medical staff
- Development and maintenance of regional clinical partnerships
- Representation of the department internally and externally
Your profile & qualifications:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine
- Additional qualification or recognised specialisation in Geriatric Medicine (required)
- Extensive clinical experience in the treatment of elderly and multimorbid patients
- Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound and endoscopy
- Previous leadership experience desirable but not mandatory
- Senior physicians with strong leadership potential are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of quality management, risk management and process optimisation
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills
- Commitment to medical education and staff development
- Strategic mindset and interest in the continuous development of healthcare services
For international applicants:
- Medical degree and specialist qualification must be recognised in Germany or fulfil the requirements for German medical licensure (Approbation)
- EU specialist certification or eligibility for equivalency recognition in Germany is required
- German language proficiency at C1 level is mandatory
